Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make a booking?

Please email me via the Contact section, or direct to my email;

nicolaredmanweddingmakeup@hotmail.com

Do you have a booking fee?

Yes, i take a booking fee of £25. This is non-refundable unless there is exceptional circumstances which can be discussed.

Do you travel?

I do travel, but tend to stay within an hour of my home address in Exmouth, Devon. Travel is charged and will be part of your quote on enquiry. For some far away bookings, or for travel longer than an hour, an overnight stay may need to be factored into the cost.

Can I have a trial? And when would be best to do so?

Yes! We can definitely do a trial, it’s a great time for us both to meet and chat about ideas before the big day. I like to allow two hours for this so we wont be rushed.

In an ideal world, a trial around 6-8 weeks before your wedding would be perfect. By this time you would have usually chosen most of your details; dress, accessories, etc and so we can create a makeup that works perfectly with these too.

If you’re thinking of having any treatments before your wedding (spray tan, lashes etc) it would be best to have these done for your trial too so that we can get a true idea of how you’re going to look.

If you live further away and are unable to do a trial in this timeframe, that is absolutely fine and we can work around this no problem.

If you are a bride who wont be able to have a trial before your wedding, I do offer a slightly different package which would include a phone call or facetime beforehand. Please email for more info.

If any of your bridal party would like a trial this can be arranged at an additional trial cost.

How long do you allow for bridal bookings?

I like to allow an hour and a half for the bride and an hour for per person for the rest of the bridal party.

I will always aim to get you ready for an hour before the ceremony (or an hour before you need to leave) so that gives you time to get dressed, have photos and touch ups. And believe me, that hour flies!

I will always stay until the last moment, to make sure you look truly perfect walking down the aisle!

Thoughts on semi permanent lashes or a lash lift?

If you always have semi permanent lashes and want to have them on your wedding day, or maybe are going straight off on honeymoon and want them for then too, then go for it!

However, I do love applying my own strip lashes or cluster lashes because then I can make sure they are perfect on the day (no fallouts, missing lashes, dusty lashes on semi permanents from eyeshadow etc).

If you are going to have a lash lift then please be aware I won’t be able to apply any lashes to you on the day. A lash lift changes the curve of your lash and makes it very difficult for falsies to be applied!
